Edwin Kidiffu holds a Master of Laws Degree from the University of Dar es Salaam. He has attended trainings on regulation of electrical and water utilities; power purchase agreements; and on compliance, monitoring and evaluation of the public-private partnership projects at the Institute of Public Private Partnerships (IP3) in Washington DC. Mr. Kidiffu is an advocate of the High Court of Tanzania from December 2004.

Mr. Kidiffu masters in legal, energy and regulatory matters. He also commands an unquestionable expertise in matters related to compliance monitoring and evaluation of the public-private partnership projects. He is also an expert on matters related to money laundering.

Mr. Kidiffu worked as a legal trainee at the Secretariat of the East African Community in Arusha for six months. Later on Mr. Kidiffu was engaged as a Tutorial Assistant at the Institute of Social Work for two years. During the same period Mr. Kidiffu was a part time lecturer at the Institute of Finance Management. Mr. Kidiffu has also worked for three years at M.A Ismail & Co. Advocates as a Legal Counsel. Additionally, Mr. Kidiffu worked with the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA) as the Principal Legal Counsel and later as the Manager Legal Services for fourteen years. For two years Mr. Kidiffu served as the Regulatory Compliance Manager at the East African Crude Oil Project (EACOP). Furthermore, Mr. Kidiffu worked with the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation as the Principal Legal Counsel for two years.

Mr. Kidiffu is a member of the Tanganyika Law Society and the East African Law Society from 2004.
